ベルクランクという名前は、塔の上の鐘を下にいて鳴らすために使われたL字型の器具のことです。
The name, the bellcrank, is the right-angled appliance which was used to
sound a chime on the tower, being below.

図の白い腕が上下すると、ベルクランク（水色）を介してオレンジの棒を左右に動かします。図では上下運動を 水平運動に変えています。
■Bell crank
When the white arm of the figure goes up and down, it moves the stick of the orange to either side through the bellcrank ( light blue ).
In the figure, it is changing an up-and-down exercise into the level exercise.
